To suit different creative and business needs, Foxtype offers three flexible licensing options. Please read the details carefully before using our fonts in any project.

1. Personal License

Ideal for: Individual use, non-commercial projects, and personal creative work.

You can:

  • Use the font for personal design projects like social media graphics, invitations, or portfolios.

  • Install the font on 1 device.

You cannot:

  • Use the font in any commercial project, branding, client work, or advertisements.

  • Embed the font on a website, app, or product.

  • Share or distribute the font.

Examples:

  • Personal blog header

  • DIY greeting card

  • Instagram post (non-promotional)

2. Commercial License

Ideal for: Freelancers, small businesses, and client projects.

You can:

  • Use the font in commercial projects such as logos, branding, packaging, marketing materials, social media ads, etc.

  • Install the font on up to 5 devices within your organization.

  • Use the font in static images for websites and social media.

You cannot:

  • Embed the font in software, mobile apps, or websites using @font-face.

  • Use it in large-scale broadcast or streaming.

  • Resell or redistribute the font in any format.

Examples:

  • Branding for a small business

  • Poster or flyer for a local event

  • Product packaging

3. Extended Commercial License

Ideal for: Agencies, publishers, large brands, or high-exposure commercial use.

You can:

  • Use the font in unlimited commercial projects.

  • Install the font on unlimited devices within one organization.

  • Embed the font on websites, apps, or digital publications.

  • Use in broadcast, video content, streaming platforms, and merchandise.

  • Create products for sale (T-shirts, mugs, prints, etc.).

You cannot:

  • Resell, sublicense, or share the font as a standalone product.

  • Claim authorship or trademark of the font design itself.

Examples:

  • Global branding campaign

  • TV or web video ads

  • App or website with webfont embedding

  • Merchandise using the font design
